‘Kereta potong’ driver killed


KULAI, TUES:
A 23-year-old Felda settler driving a kereta potong was killed when his car crashed into an oil palm tree here.

The impact ripped the "cut-and-joined" Proton Iswara into two.

The driver, Md Fadil Setat @ Abdul Karim, was thrown out of the car.

Police believe the victim, who was returning home to Felda Taib Andak, was negotiating a sharp bend at high speed when he crashed into the tree at Km1, Jalan Kulai-Kota Tinggi here, yesterday.

Johor Baru (north) traffic chief Chief Inspector Mathew Manggai urged witnessesnt to contact Inspector Mohd Faizal Yahya at 07-6632222 or the nearest police station.
